Dr. Robin Yamaguma was born and raised on the island of Maui. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University. After graduating from Boston University in 2010, Dr. Robin worked on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota as a general dentist for 2 and a half years. On Pine Ridge she treated patients of all age ranges, but gravitated to working with the children. While living in South Dakota, Dr. Robin took dozens of road trips down to Denver and the surrounding mountains, where she fell in love with all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. Dr. Robin completed her pediatric dental residency in June 2015 at the NYU Lutheran Medical Center’s Hawaii site and moved to Denver in September. It was a great 2 years at home with family, but she knew that she would move to Colorado once residency was completed. Dr. Robin is a member of the Metro Denver Dental Society, Colorado Dental Association, the Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Robin is a new mother to a 5 month old boy and enjoys spending her days off with him. She is an avid runner who has completed 5 marathons and two 50k’s. During her spare time, she can be found outside running or hiking on one of Colorado’s many beautiful trails.
